There By Your Side
Logan had never wanted to really come to LA in the first place. Although James was one of his best friends, he couldn't understand James' obsession with becoming a famous singer. At all. Logan never voiced his opinions of course, for fear of hurting the older boys' feelings and sending him into another pouting session. -Trust Logan to say that James' pout sessions were scary, often lasting up to five days as the current record time- Logan's dream was more on the practical side. Having wanted to become a doctor since he was around five years old, Logan thrived to be the best he could in school, hoping to get into the best Pre-Med programs at the best colleges around. The others made fun of him, schoolmates labeled him a "nerd" when in reality, he was only following his dream. The only person who never said anything about it or made fun of him was Kendall, his insanely caring boyfriend of a year and a half. He could assume that was why James was so driven to become a singer, to achieve his dream. In reality, they all had dreams that they were working their butts off to achieve before Kendall convinced Gustavo to take the four to LA and record demos. While James and Logan had their dreams, so did Carlos and Kendall. Carlos wanted to become a superhero whose powers involved corndogs; no one bothered to question the youngest boy. But Kendall's dream was at home, to play center for the Minnesota Wild; a goal he really couldn't achieve while being in gorgeous and sunny California. But being the leader of the group, Kendall had his friends' interests at heart before his own, and that's how they ended up where they are now. And Logan quietly complained to his boyfriend every night in his and Kendall's shared room. One day after a long and tiring day at the dance studio, Logan walked back into his room to find a new medical book sitting on his desk. Walking over, he recognized Kendall's messy handwriting on a post-it on the cover. 'Logan, I know that you really wanted to become a doctor and not a singer, and I thought that maybe this would make up for me forcing you into something you didn't want in the first place. Forgive me? xox, Kendall.' Logan smiled at his boyfriends' sweet gesture, too lost in his own little world to notice a pair of arms sliding around his waist and a soft kiss being placed on his neck. "I hope you like it, I saw it the other day and I figured that I could get it for you. For, ya know, when everything with the band is finished and you get to actually BECOME a doctor. Or you just wanted a new medical book to read," Kendall breathed in his ear. Logan gently placed the book down and turned in the blonds arms. "I love it, thank you. But you really didn't have to get it for me; I'm…starting to like this whole 'being in a band' thing. It's fun," he whispered back. They looked into each others eyes before a force pulled them together and they shared a simple kiss, lips just barely touching. Both pulled away and smiled before moving back in for another kiss, one filled with all the emotions they have towards each other. Logan pulled away, blushing slightly when Kendall sent him one of the smiles that made Logan's knees weak whenever he saw it. "Logan, I'll always be here to support your dream of becoming a doctor, and I know you'll support mine. I love you," Kendall told him. Logan knew what his boyfriend said was true and replied with a shy "I love you too." As they kissed again, Logan figured being a doctor could wait, especially if Kendall was there by his side the entire time.
