Prologue: The Beginning of the Fulfillment
"One will be born who strength and power will surpass that of any living being in the universe. He shall face many grave trials and only after a century of hardship will he realize his role within the universe. This is the tale as it was told to be by my father which was told to him by his father and so on through thousands of generations" The voice echoed through his head, he could feel the time of the prophecy approaching. Kibito-Shin looked down upon the universe. Kibito-Shin knew he had seen such power emerge and the legend was complete. Though he could feel a great evil growing; he thought perhaps that he was wrong and had not seen the legend fulfilled yet.
Light, such bright light engulfed his entire being as he'd never felt before. Goku's head was swimming and all at once the light faded. "Whe- where am I?"
"Welcome Goku."
"Who, who's there? I don't understand, what's happening?" Goku cried out into the void.
"Calm yourself Goku, there is no need to worry," the voice replied, "I brought you here remember."
"Shen-ron, Shen-ron is that you?"
"Yes Goku, it is I, Shen-ron the eternal dragon."
"So what am I going to do for the next 100 years now that I'm here?" Goku asked.
"That is simple, you will train!"
"But why, you said the earth would endure a century of peace if I went with you?"
"No, you misunderstood. I said if you came with me for a hundred years that the earth would endure peace while you were here." Shen-ron explained. "For you see, I will train you for a hundred years and then return you to earth where you will face a threat greater than anything you face before." Shen-ron continued, "You must understand Goku, when you fought the evil Shen-rons it was a test, I needed to find the strongest man on earth as fast as I could. You just happened to be the result of those tests."
"You bastard! How could you?" Goku screamed in disbelief. "All those people you murdered and for what, to find the strongest on earth, all you had to do was ask, damn you." The rage within screamed to be released in Goku.
"Silence, you fool, you do not comprehend the danger which faces the universe, if I had not found your strength on earth I would have destroyed the planet right away and searched else where."
"But why, what is coming that is so terrible?"
"Even I don't know that answer to that but I know that its first target is earth and that is all that I can say," Shen-ron spoke in such a resigned voice. "Enough talk it time for this part of the journey to end and the next part to begin.
"Aaahhh," Goku screamed, he could feel his body being torn apart and then nothingness engulfed him and his consciousness slipped away into darkness.
