Her body was stiff, unresponsive besides the screaming sobs of pain. Blood was spewing from her wounds dramatically as they lay undressed and exposed. Venom was infecting her. The doctor tried to stop it from spreading. He was sucking it out.
His fangs were so close to her neck.
Jacob was petrified. He was terrified. The girl was crying. Edward was translating the doctor's thoughts. Bella was rubbing Jacob's back reassuringly.
"The blood tastes weird, he can't determine if the venoms completely gone" Edward said hesitantly. He knew Jacob would want him to stop. Surprisingly, Jacob nodded stiffly. He couldn't risk there being venom left in her body.
It was Jacob's fault that she was even there. He had allowed himself to get in a vulnerable position. She had watched the whole battle from the sidelines, somehow she'd not been attacked by any vampires but one of them went to kill him. They were about to use their strength to crush him. She had a hero complex. She had to help him.
She'd got bitten and now she would die. It was his fault.
Her hands started moving. Jacob was instantly kneeling next to her. He ignored his alpha's orders. He went to hold her hand but she moved it away from him. She moved them towards Carlisle. She pushed him. It wasn't particularly powerful but the doctor still stumbled back. He hadn't been expecting anything of the sort.
Jacob, Edward and Carlisle all tried explaining to her that they needed to remove the venom. She was still crying painful tears. Her right hand twitched. Jacob grabbed her left one, hoping it would calm her. Her hand continued to twitch. He watched pained by this. It was like she was having a seizure.
The door burst open. Everyone's head snapped towards the intruder. Jacob growled. It was him.
