Servant to an Aristocrat
I serve an aristocrat
She desires my servitude
And commands me many tasks
Pointless as they may be
Whether I like my position or not
I serve an aristocrat
She is a doll
Crafted by an exquisite doll maker
Her Father
I serve an aristocrat
I swore upon her rose ring
We entered a covenant
I offer her my services, my energy, my time
I serve an aristocrat
She has seven sisters
They must fight
All for their Father
All to become Alice
The perfect girl
I serve an aristocrat
She bands together with some of them
To fight against the eldest
As she attempts to claim their Rosa Mysticas
I serve an aristocrat
An imposter joins the fray
Usurps the Game
But her victory is forfeit and she loses the game
I serve an aristocrat
Regardless of what I may think
Despite my disdain for her cold demeanor at times
I serve an aristocrat
I've come to grow fond of my duties
I've come to respect her determination and kindness
I've come to enjoy her presence in my life
I'm proud and glad to say
I serve an aristocrat

Wow, a Rozen Maiden fanfic! It's been quite a long while since I've last written something for Rozen Maiden. What has it been, like two or so years since the last one I published on this site? Man, it's good to be back. Hopefully I'll have more ideas for Rozen Maiden fanfics sometime soon since I really would like to get back into writing more for this series.
Anyway, this is just a short poem I wrote about Jun's thoughts and feelings about Shinku. What's interesting about their bond is how they've developed as characters throughout the series and have come to rely on one another for things the other can't do their own. Shinku helped Jun come to terms with what has happened to him at his school and he in return stood by her side as the Alice Game went underway. Although there may be instances where they're frustrated by the other's character traits—i.e. Jun hating Shinku treating him like a servant and she disliking his disobedience towards her—they stay together regardless of any negativity between them. In my opinion, I'd describe their partnership throughout the Alice Game as necessary, but also cordially amiable for the most part since they've learned to accept each other's faults.
Disclaimer: I don't own Rozen Maiden; it's owned by Peach-Pit.
