"Why, Sarah, someone has left a coded message on your fridge!" the Doctor declared, racing over to remove it from its magnetic prison. "Now don't worry Sarah Jane, I'll work out the code in a jiffy." The Doctor stared intently at the little scrap of paper upon which a hurried scribble read:
SJ & 4Doc- gone 2 shop BRB.
Sarah Jane looked over his shoulder, bemused. "Dear Sarah Jane and the fourth Doctor," she read aloud whilst a smile twitched at her lips. "We have gone down to the local shops and will be back very soon. With love, Luke, Maria and Clyde."
The Doctor's eyes scanned the piece of paper several times before he spoke. "Why, Sarah Jane, I think you could be right! But how did you decode it so quickly?"
"I suppose I'm just more familiar with that particular code." Her face cracked as she burst into laughter.
The Doctor, confused about what exactly was so funny, popped a jelly baby into his mouth and neglected to offer one to Sarah Jane.
