Chapter One
Ed and Al rushed to Central Command. Colonel Roy Mustang was waiting there for them so he could launch an attack on the homunculi. They saluted the guards at the door, then rushed inside. Roy was waiting in his office.
"Oh good. You're here." He said. "Alright then. The homunculi are in an airship floating above central. Solf J. Kimblee and a few other alchemists are using the stones to create one huge philosopher's stone. In the meantime Sloth is digging a huge transmutation circle around Amestris. Lieutenant Hawkeye, take your division and fill as much of the circle as possible. Also, try to stop Sloth from digging any more of it. Major Armstrong, Take your division and attack the Alchemists in the airships. After that meet with my division. Elrics, you're with me." He finished his briefing and the soldiers immediately began preparing for battle. Hawkeye's division left within minutes and headed south. Fifteen airships left Central Command and flew toward the dot that was ever present above them. Every once in a while they would see red sparks, or bolts of red lighting appear around the ship. Mustang led the Elrics to a hot air balloon. A second airship floated by the first. The homunculi were in that one. Their balloon headed toward that one.
"So what's the plan?" Ed asked.
"We're gonna hit that airship with all we've got. I have a division coming behind us. All we need to do is make a path for them and kill the homunculi the soldier's can't."
"Got it." Ed grinned. Roy pulled his ignition gloves on, and Ed transmuted a sword blade, his signature weapon. All three looked up. The airship was close. Suddenly the balloon burst into flame. "Cannons… I should have thought of that." Roy muttered.
"Hurry, get on!" Ed called to the Colonel. He had created a tower of stone wide enough for all of them. Roy and Al jumped to it, and none too soon. The basket caught flame and the balloon dropped to the ground. It exploded on impact. Ed crouched down, clapped his hands together, and placed them on the tower. It grew at a frightening pace. It grew until it reached the airship and they were able to jump off.
