Title: For the Love of Her
Author: Rachel Racelis
Tenzo, or Yamato as he would rather be called by Team Kakashi scratched the cloth covering his chin. He had seen more beautiful women than she. Taller, flawless, more sophisticated and older women. But her hands are beautiful. Hands trained to give life, heal and kill, all in one. He knew that she had a hand in killing one of the Akatsuki, Sasori. In fact he knew quite a number of things about her too. He knew that she is an efficient medic-nin with an excellent chakra control. Her progress as a shinobi seemed dwarfed by her teammate's, Naruto and Sasuke's progress. She loves to eat syrup coated anko dumplings and umeboshi and she hates eating spicy things. She likes talking about Sasuke, and the good 'ol days when Team Kakashi was unbroken. He found out some of the things he knew about her from her former sensei, other things are from Naruto's endless rambling and some he noticed by being with her.
Haruno Sakura..." Even her name sounds sweet to his ears. Her voice are music to a melody he does not want to end. Her smiles, her laughter and even in her serious way of speaking. He thinks Sai was wrong in calling her ugly, because Sakura despite frowning or scowling can never be ugly. In fact, to him she is very pretty. But it was not because of this that she unconsciously tugs at his heart. It was not because of her voice or her hands or anything else. It was because of the first smile she gave him. She was so happy and full of life. Despite experiencing pain from a friend's betrayal or being a kunoichi, destined to kill or be killed, she remained innocent and pure. She may change as she grows older. You can call him crazy but he has decided. He knew that he would do everything in his power... to protect her.
