Robin cursed at himself. He couldn't believe he had been treating Starfire so poorly over the past three months. He had been hanging out with Barbara or as everyone else knows her, Batgirl. Starfire had caught the two in his room together. Robin realized his mistake later today after he told Starfire that he needed a human to love, not someone from another planet because they were two different species. Robin was mad and upset at himself for saying this to her. He had told her that he needed love from a human and he realized this was a mistake. He wanted Starfire, not Batgirl. He rushed over to Starfire's room. However, when he opened the door he found a note on her bed. He decided to read it.

Dear Robin,

I wish I could be the one. The one who gave you love. The kind of love you really need. Robin thought to himself. 'She means human love. No, you're wrong Starfire.' He thought and he continued to read the note.

Wish I could say to you that I'll always stay with you. But baby, that's not true. You need someone willing to give their heart and soul to you; promise you forever but that's something that I can't do. 'Yes you can Starfire. You did. I just didn't see it.' Robin thought to himself. He felt like a jerk for telling her all of those horrible things.

Oh I could say that I'll be all you need but that would be a lie. I know I'd only hurt you. Mainly because I am of another species. I know I'd only make you cry. And I do not want to do that to you, Robin. We are too different. I'm not the only one you're needing. You need Barbara more than you need me. I love you, goodbye.

Tears were forming behind the masked boy. This couldn't be goodbye. He loved her and she had loved him. He had made her truly believe that she never loved him. This note was too much for Robin to handle, but he had to keep on reading.

Leaving someone when you love someone is the hardest thing to do when you love someone as much as I love you. So she did love him. It seemed like she loved him so much but she was leaving him for him. Robin began getting angry. He decided to finish her note.

Starfire

Robin was so upset and angry at the note and Starfire. He didn't want her to go, but he made it seem like he wanted her to leave and just go away to leave him with Batgirl. He realized his love for Starfire was just too late. He saw a figure in the horizon. It looked like Starfire and he watched her fly away, leaving him forever.

I know it was kind of depressing. But I got inspired while listening to this amazing song. The lyrics were part of Starfire's note and I obviously added to it slightly to kind of explain it. Anyway, please review :D
