That Day
Before that day…..I just couldn't take it anymore.
And on that single day, is when everything changed.
But before I tell you of that fateful day…..
Let me tell you who I was.
Hello, my name is Nitashi Naruna, but everyone calls me Nina.
Before that day, I had long brown hair and dark brown eyes.
I was a quite, friendly girl who loved to draw, read, write,
And especially…help others around me.
But lately…I have noticed….
That being a girl, means you have to be a proper lady…..
Wear the right clothes that a girl should wear…
And that a girl is supposed to let a guys do most of the hard work.
Honestly, I never understood why we have to live that way.
I wonder….why can't I live my life as my own?
Without other parents telling me that what I'm doing isn't lady like…
Without having others tell guys to help me when I don't need it….
Sometimes, I think I can just live without those pointless things.
Noticing these things since I was ten, I've put up with it for five long years.
No girl would regularly notice this, but it drove me crazy day after day.
And on the night before that day…I prayed
Prayed and wished for something to change.
And I am now living happily because of that single day.
Waking up and opening my eyes to who I really was…
And what if the world knew what happened to me…?
But for now, I only know….what happened on that day….
