Welp, I can't help it. Velour might just be the most adorable thing ever. I spoiled some of the game just to find out more about her. Just to reiterate, I still have not played if/fates, so I don't know too much about it. So here goes:
Kamui grinned as Velour took the box eagerly in her hands. She rolled the object over in her grip, marvelling at the fine craftsmanship. Kamui had spared no expense, hiring a well-known Nohrian wood worker to delicately carve a series of roses onto the box's surface.
"Wow, this is great!" She exclaimed, looking up at the prince. "This box is amazing! I can store all sorts of treasures in it, thank you Kmaui." She grinned, her tail waving slightly beneath her red cloak.
"U-uh..." Kmaui stuttered, his stomach dropping. Had she never heard of this sort of thing?
"Hm?" Velour looked up, cocking her head slightly to the side as she examined him. "Is everything alright, Kamui?"
Kamui swallowed, bringing up his courage. "W-well, you see..." He swallowed and cleared his throat awkwardly. "I actually wanted you to have what is in the box..." He grinned sheepishly, unable to stop the blush from forming on his cheeks.
"Oh! How exiting!" Velour grinned and carefully opened the box. Once again, her face lit up. This time, Kamui could have sworn he saw stars. She had to have gotten the message this time, he was sure of it.
"Wow! This fabric is so soft..." Velour smiled widely as she ran her fingers over the lush purple velvet inside. "I could touch this forever...Hehe!" She giggled cheerfully.
"U-uh...there's something in the fabric...Velour..." Kamui said quietly, his courage fading away at a drastic pace.
"Yes, I see it." Velour nodded. "A ring, what of it?"
Kamui opened his mouth to speak, unsure of what to do. A part of him wanted to run, hide and cry like he used to when he was young. Them again, Velour was a strange person, and he had no idea if the concept of marriage was something she was altogether familiar with. Ignoring the direct shot of pain to his heart, Kamui swallowed his grief and pushed onward.
"Well...I wanted you to have the ring..."
"Why is that, I think the box is much more of a valuable treasure!" She grinned, her tail wagging happily.
Kamui couldn't hold back any more. "I want to marry you!" He exclaimed, stepping forward.
Velour's mouth dropped open. "M-me!?"
"Yes! There's no one I would rather be with...I-I...I love you..." Kamui said, scratching the back of his head with his left hand. "Will you start a family with me...?"
"...You are such a strange person, Kamui..." She chuckled, looking at the ring sitting in the box. "To want to marry a person like me, is this some joke?"
"Of course not!" Kamui jumped forward, slipping the ring form the box and lining it up with her finger. "I don't care if I'm strange...I want to be with you, Velour..."
Velour grinned, tears pricking at her eyes. "Y-yes, I love you too, Kamui!"
Kamui grinned and slid the ring onto her finger, finally. He wrapped his arms around her, bringing her into a tight hug.
"It's funny..." Velour said, her mouth slightly muffled by Kamui's taller body. "Just moments ago, I saw just a simple ring, nothing more. Now, after that confession, I cannot see anything but a treasured memory, my most valuable treasure..." She sniffed, looking up at the prince.
"I love you...let's make a whole lot of treasured memories!"
"Yes!"
