Until The Day You Die

By Mitsukai no Shi

I'll protect you,

Until the day I die.

I guest after all that,

It was just a lie.

Everyday,

You've smiled.

Everyday,

You've cried.

You've pushed me away,

Rejecting me.

And when that day came,

You needed me.

How was I to know,

That you were falling?

How was I to know,

That I couldn't do anything?

In these all struck Cherry Blossoms,

You sat here.

And when you fought that monster,

I wished that I was there.

You left for him,

For love.

You fought that thing,

For love.

You've tried to bring him back,

And you died from that slaughterer.

Who knew that,

Love could murder.

I'll protect you,

Until the day I die.

I guest after all that,

It was just a lie.

I stand here before your grave,

And wonder that maybe it should had been,

I'll protect you,

Until the day you die.

(Author's note; If you readers didn't know who were the people in my poem, it's Lee who's reciting the poem to Sakura, who fought and died in the battle against Orochimaru, while searching for Sasuke. Lee had no idea of the terror that Sakura faced, and he wasn't there to save her. I was inspired. Hoped you enjoyed it.)
