A Night Out in Gaitlin

A one shot about Lena and Ethan going to a nightclub in Gaitlin. Mainly fluff and humour. Set after Lena's eighteenth.

Uncle Macon had never told me about Gaitlin's only nightclub and now I guess I knew why. It wasn't much for one thing. It was pretty shabby with peeling paint and crackly speakers. The bar tenders were acne ridden college freshers who looked utterly miserable. The club made Exile look good, hell that's saying something.

I had drank alcohol at holidays and birthdays but this was something different. I had no idea what effect too much alcohol could have on a Caster but I already felt tipsy and I hadn't been there for more than a couple of hours.

Ethan looked a lot less sober than I felt. He was obviously completely smashed; he would never call Emily Asher or Savannah Snow third degree burners otherwise.

As he walked towards me he wore a cheeky smile.

What the hell are you doing, Ethan?

Just having a good time, Lena!

Suddenly, Ethan grabbed my hand spinning me onto the dance floor. The sudden shock and my alcohol fuzzed mind cause me to release a burst of Caster energy.

Oops.

But oops wasn't the word.

I had turned Ethan into hotdog.

Yes seriously a hotdog.

So there I was in front of Emily and Savannah having an emotional breakdown over a hotdog.

Shit.

I contemplated calling Macon but knew he would probably kill me. So instead I muttered more spells and eventually Ethan transformed again into a pile of Frankfurter sausages.

What the hell was I going to do?

Then I heard a familiar voice, singing,

Roses are red, violets are blue,

No one likes sausages as much as you do!

Ridley.

"Well cuz, we all know what you were thinking about doing later tonight!" Ridley said suggestively.

Then it occurred to me what spell I had used by accident- a desire spell. I reversed the spell easily and the human Ethan returned.

He pulled me close and I felt his hands run through my hair and his lips against mine.

After a couple of minutes we paused for breath.

"I guess we all know you can't resist sausages, L," Ethan smirked.
