Wild Pikmin
Sutuera was bored.
It was a boring life here in the Awakening Woods. A lot of Pikmin would kill for the peace and quiet, but Sutuera wanted some excitement in his life. In fact, they did kill. Quite a lot actually. And Sutuera was jealous. They got killed aswell. He was jealous of that too. Not actually getting killed, but the risk, the rush of knowing that when you turn around, there might be a Bulborb or a Fiery Blowhog ready to rip you to shreds or burn you to a crisp.
Sutuera sighed. He wanted to join them, he really did. But he couldn't. There was nothing stopping him, but he just couldn't make himself. He had tried a few times, but his cozy tree trunk house had lured him back in, the smell of the wood and the warmth of the fireplace next to his bed. And besides, he could never live without her...
"What are you doing out here on this balcony again?" Said a high pitched, crackling voice from behind him. "Ah, speak of the Dweevil. I was just thinking about you." Replied Sutuera. Cordata sat down next to him. "Can't say I blame you." She winked at Sutuera.
She was adorable, he thought. She was the only real reason he wouldn't go and join the Flock. There was only two outcomes. Either he'd have to leave her behind and live his life without her, or she came with him and she was in danger. Neither were acceptable at all.
He had to face that he was confined to this life by her. He wanted to look at it from her point of view, that it was peaceful, comfortable and safe, but he could only see it as boring. He was stuck here, and there was nothing he could do about it. Although, to be perfectly honest, he wouldn't really mind being stuck anywhere if he was with her. She was the light of his life, and no amount of exhilarating battles could overthrow Cordata.
"I was watching the Flock, following that thing with the red light. Mental, aren't they?" He said, in response to her earlier question. "They don't have much of a choice. We were lucky in missed us with it's whistle when it was calling everyone in. We're the only two Pikmin it's ever left behind, and it thinks we're dead."
"We're lucky you found this hollow tree. You shouted for me to come here in the nick of time, and, well... just look at us now."
She smiled at that. Then she walked to the doorway that lead back into their house. "Come inside, I made dinner. It's your favourite, Spaghetti Dwarf Bulbolognese." Sutuera looked at the Pikmin in the distance, fighting a Burrowing Snagret. Then he stood up and walked towards Cordata.
