This is a sequel to my other story called Cindy: one Lindsay: Zero that I wrote all the way back in '08. The story itself could be a stand along, but it nicer if you read the first one.
BTW- I'd like to thank the person whom BETA this FanGirl118! She great! :)
Even with the ringing in her ears, she could tell Lindsay was yelling. There was no need to tell Lindsay that she couldn't hear her, Cindy decided, just let her get it all out. Anyways, it wasn't like Lindsay had any real reason to be mad. It wasn't like it was her car, and the bomb was meant for her. Cindy was, for once, truly innocent. Lindsay was overreacting! She was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. An innocent bystander whom just happened to be walking by when a car blew up, she should not be getting yelled at! Even if she couldn't hear her with the loud ringing. The redhead's mood started to darken, when she noticed that Lindsay lips weren't moving anymore.
Cindy idly wondered how long Lindsay had been standing there, watching her, with that expression on her face. Lindsay eyebrows were narrowed, and her lips were pushed in. It was an odd expression. One Cindy had never seen before. She knew what Lindsay looked like pissed, she's seen that one lots of times, upset, worried, happy, that one is rare but she seen it, yet this one was new. Cindy was processing what this odd expression could mean when unexpectedly, Lindsay hands engulfed Cindy's face, passionately pulling Cindy towards her. Lindsay lips connected with Cindy's with a feverish need, this confused Cindy. Lindsay had never kissed her like this before. No one had ever kissed Cindy like that before. This wasn't a peck on the lips or 'I'll see you in the bedroom later' kiss, she knew those kisses. This was something new altogether and her reporter intuition told her whatever it was, it was good.
The brunette cop pulled away, foreheads touching, and just for a split second Cindy's hearing clear up. "I love you." The cop whispered, for the first time.
At that moment Claire showed up to check Cindy out, separating the two love birds before Cindy had a chance to utter a word. The truth was, even if Cindy doesn't want to admit it, even if Claire hadn't shown up, Cindy wouldn't have uttered a word. She was speechless, it had never happened to the redhead. "She won." Cindy said, abruptly.
"Won what, honey?" Claire asked, while flashing a light in Cindy's eye, checking for a concussion.
"Me."
