I was listening to Dango Daikazoku (a very cute song), and it got stuck in my head. And since it's Valentine's Day, I wrote a little quick drabble for my all time favorite manga pairing... Ulquiorra and Orihime.
I don't own anything related to Bleach, or the lyrics to Dango Daikazoku. This is a fanfiction.
"Dango, dango, dango, dango, dango, dango, daikazoku
Dango, dango, dango, dango, dango, daikazoku…"
…
"Woman, what are you doing?"
Looking at her captor, Inoue Orihime shrugged. "I'm singing, Ulquiorra-san."
Returning her gaze to her plate, she continued her song. "Yancha na yaki dango, yasashii an dango…" She broke off humming at the end of the verse, pushing her food around her plate. "It's one of those songs that gets stuck in your head, and then you can't stop singing it, and eventually you don't even realize you're actually saying it-"
Gazing at the orange-haired girl, Ulquiorra stood passively near the door. "Stop. It's annoying."
Smiling softly, Orihime shrugged once more. "You'll see…one day, a song is going to get stuck in your head, and you won't be able to stop singing it. Pushing her plate away, she settled back into the couch. "I'm not hungry," she said. "You can take it away."
Coming forward, Ulquiorra placed the lid back onto her plate. She hadn't eaten as much as he would have liked, but it was better than nothing. Pushing the cart to the door, he turned back to Inoue.
"I'll be back in a few hours."
Closing the door behind him, Ulquiorra started down the hall. Annoying woman…Like something as ridiculous as that would ever happen to anyone save herself…
He walked on in silence for a few minutes, until he suddenly felt the urge to…no. He would never.
"Hmm, hmm…dango, dango, dango…"
Damn.
