Cat: Hey all. I wrote this after seeing Mystic Fate because I was really ticked at Nick for just driving away. Come to think of it, Mystic Force has inspired a bunch of irritated one-shots. But yes, feel free to enjoy.

Disclaimer: I don't own it. And, after seeing that the new season of PR looks just like Turbo with better CG, I don't think I really want to.

Maddie swallowed. "I want you to stay for me." She repeated nervously. She managed to meet Nick's eye for a fraction of a second before her glance darted back downwards. Please please please please She chanted over and over in her head. She wasn't entirely sure what she wanted Nick to do, stay, admit that he liked her, date, her, marry her, anything would have been fine.

A soft fleece blanket appeared under her nose, offered hesitantly. "Here. Hold onto this for me." Nick said. Madison accepted it, trying hard not to shake. She knew how important that blanket was to him, he'd kept it with him his entire life. And she knew what he was trying to say. He was coming back.

She watched him drive off in a happy daze and wandered back into the Rock Porium. Vida (who had finally decided to fully embrace the pink thing) was trying to teach some sort of magical creature how to dance. She caught her sister's eye, and held up the blanket triumphantly. Vida gave her a quick thumbs up.

Maddi smiled to herself and held the blanket slightly tighter. And she was happy.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

"I want you to stay." Nick heard her say and internally struggled. He loved his friends, but he had to admit that he wasn't the biggest fan of Briarwood. It was too small. And too many people knew him. Also, he'd been asked for his autograph by one too many six year old girls for him to feel entirely comfortable. Besides, he wanted to spend some time with his parents now that he had finally found them.

Realizing that Maddi expected him to say something, Nick cast about for a way to change the subject. With only a twinge of regret, he held out his baby blanket. "Here." He said. "Hold onto this for me." Madison took it from him and he turned to finally leave. He didn't feel too bad leaving the token of his birth parents behind. After all, now he had the real thing and didn't need a symbol to remind himself of them.

Nick mounted his bike excitedly. He couldn't wait to see how his parents maneuvered around traffic laws.

Cat: Reviews would make me happy!
