John stared across the room at Olivia hoping nobody would notice that he was watching her every movement. Sometimes she'd turn his way and he would get caught so he'd just smile back to her when she smiled to him.
"Earth to John" Fin said waving a hand in front of his face.
"Hmm-what?" John said snapping out of his trance.
"She's gone" Fin said a hint of laughter in his voice.
"Who's gone?" John asked trying to hide the fact that he's been watching Olivia since she got there this morning.
"You don't hide it very well, even with those dark glasses on"
"Hide what?"
"The fact that you are madly in love with Olivia" Fin said getting up and pouring himself a cup of coffee "want some?"
"You just said I was in love with Olivia and now you're asking me if I want a cup of coffee"
"Yeah" Fin said shrugging his shoulders. "Look John, everyone in this precinct knows how you feel about Olivia, hell anyone with half a brain would know how you feel about her"
"Everyone?" John asked a little afraid.
"Well everyone accept Olivia…we have a bet going on"
"We?"
"Yeah me, Elliot, Cragen, Casey, Huang"
"Geez anyone else?"
"No I think that's it" Fin said.
"It doesn't matter how I feel about her it's not like I can do anything about it" John sighed.
"Your just scared to, just tell her how you feel" John sat there, Fin's words playing over in his head. "I'm leaving" Fin once again pulled John from his thoughts.
"Yeah, okay, see ya"
"Yeah, I'll see ya" Fin smiled to himself.
John stood outside of Olivia's apartment building staring up at her window. Building up enough courage he was lucky enough to catch a neighbour of Olivia's going into her building. Slipping in the door he made his way up to Olivia's apartment and stood their in front of her door, his hands in his pockets. Just as he was about to knock the door opened.
"Olivia" John said surprised.
"John, what are you doing here?" Olivia asked a garbage bag in hand.
"ahh…ahh" John stalled searching for a good reason as to why he was standing at her door late at night. "Can I come in?"
"Yeah" Olivia said stepping aside to let John in. John walked in and took a seat on the couch, Olivia doing the same sat next to him. "You want something to drink?"
"No thanks" John answered getting up he walked from the couch over to the window that he was staring at not to long ago. "It's snowing" he smiled.
"John"
"Yeah?"
"What's wrong?"
"Fin helped me realize something today"
"and you came here to tell what that something is?" she asked.
"Yes" John said turning around and walking back over to Olivia "Fin helped me realized that…" he started "he told me to tell you how I feel" looking down to the floor John continued "I love you" he whispered. John stood there his heart on the line when he heard shifting from the couch, looking up he was just in time to see Olivia stroll up to him and wrap her arms around his neck and press her lips firmly against his. At first John stood there shocked that this was actually happening, but when he realized that he wasn't dreaming he kissed her back his hands finding their way to her waist, to hold her close.
"I love you too" she smiled once they pulled apart.
"It's getting late, I should go" John signed regretting the words as soon as they left his mouth.
"It is getting late…but you don't have to go" she smiled seductively pulling John toward her bedroom.
