Author notes: This was originally written for a romance challenge, but I deleted those. Now I'm going back and reposting the best ones separately. The prompt for this one was "Secrets".
"Shh! Quiet, Beast Boy, I'm trying to hear!" Beast Boy and Terra stood just outside the door to Cyborg's room. Terra had her ear glued to it, try desperately to make out the words being said. Beast Boy soon joined her.
Terra had began to be suspicious a week before, when he'd seen Cyborg enter Raven's room. No one ever went into Raven's room, not without coming out with some sort of injury. But from where Terra had been standing, she had welcomed him in. Now, with Beast Boy's help, she was determined to quench her curiosity.
"Can you hear anything?"
"Shh!" she hissed, silencing him again. She listened intently to what was being said.
"You think they'll figure it out?" they heard Cyborg say.
"Not a chance," Raven replied. "Who would suspect we would do something like this?" There was a pause.
"Good point. I mean, you're quiet and keep to yourself, and I'm outgoing and...talky..."
"You mean loud," she said in a teasing tone.
"Right," he replied in the same way. "They'll never figure it out."
"I knew it!" Terra said as quietly as she could. She almost couldn't contain herself. "I bet they're in there making out right now!"
"Dude..."
"Yeah..." She removed herself from the door and made her way back to her room. Beast Boy followed not far behind her.
"So...what are we gonna do now?"
"Nothing," she said, smiling, "if they want to have a secret romance, then they can have it."
"You mean you're not gonna tell anybody?!" he said, rather loudly. Robin peaked his head outside his door.
"Tell anybody what?"
"Nothing," Terra said giggling. She took Beast Boy's hand and ran off, dragging him behind her. By the time they were in her room, they were both a bit winded.
"You're really not gonna tell?" he asked, bringing his breathing back to normal.
"You know. If they have a secret, we can have one too." She smiled a small smile, and he returned it.
Meanwhile, Starfire poked her head outside.
"Robin, for what reason are Terra and Beast Boy running from us?"
"I don't know, Star," he said, smirking. "Maybe they have a secret, too. Wanna go see?"
Were Cyborg and Raven making out? Well, in my mind I think they were just planning a prank on Terra and BB, but that's just me. If you would want them to, fine, they are. But what were Robin and Starfire doing?! Y'all just use your imaginations, and interpret it any way you like. See, I like writing things like this, where you can decide what's really going on. Doesn't always make everybody happy, but hey, I think it's pretty cool.
