Hera stared at the wall next to her bed as she waited for Kanan to get ready. Something had been weighing on her mind ever since Kanan, Ezra, and Zeb had returned from their mission. I had just been one little comment Rex had made about her being a natural earlier while she had been playing with the child the guys had rescued but still it bothered her. She shifted slightly as Kanan slipped into bed next to her.

"Would you?" Kanan asked. "I mean if you could." He added. There it was the one thing she hadn't wanted him to ask. Of course she did! They we so tiny and cute and the human ones were so squishy.

"No." She stuttered "Of course not. I mean everything about it is just so wrong, the timing, where we live, what we do and the Force can you even imagine what that could do to someone so young." Hera lied. She waited for a moment trying to read the expression on Kanans face

"You're a terrible Liar" Kanan mumbled turning to get a bet look at her. "You ramble a lot when you lie." He started rubbing the end of her Lekku. She snapped and sat up as fast as she could, pulling her Lekku out of Kanan's hand.

"WHAT DOES IT MATTER WE CAN'T SO JUST FORGET IT ALREADY!" Hera yelled and then immediately regretted it. "I'm sorry Love." She whispered. Kanan reached up and wrapped his arms around her as he pulled her back down to the bunk.

Hera was now just trying everything she could to keep herself from crying.

He kissed her forehead. "It's fine alright? Just forget it."
