They had been prepared for life or death. They were not prepared for what came next.
Something had gone whizzing past them and their jaws had dropped when they realised it was Doflamingo.
Something big had flown after him and their eyes popped out as they realised it was one Monkey D. Luffy.
Then they realised that they were no longer anywhere near the battle and they were left feeling rather silly on the empty plateau.
"Dammit Straw Hat, this is not what I had in mind when you said you'd entrust the others to me!"
Cavendish picked up Law and scrambled after the others as an immobile Law contemplated the fact that he could not ever have his way when Straw Hat was around.
He couldn't help but smirk as he realised the same applied to everyone else.
Including Doflamingo.
Looks like I'll get to see you get your comeuppance after all.
A/N: I laughed once I realised that the fight moved away from them right after they made their manly declarations. Doflamingo's "whut" face when he sees Luffy doing the aeroplane made me laugh too because he looks so genuinely baffled.
