Chapter 1: Gothica's Awakening
~~Gothica's POV~~
I don't know how long I was asleep… But up until I woke up, my life was anything but easy… I lost someone very important to me and the only thing on my mind was revenge…
The day I woke up, I heard voices… Voices I'd never heard before…
????: "Now, let's see what the hell my grandfather was yammering about."
Suddenly things felt really warm. Almost like I'd spent my whole life in Antarctica and suddenly walked right into the Sahara Desert. But I was finally awake…
????: "Shadow!? What are you doing here!?"
When I saw who woke me up, he looked like the professor. But I knew he wasn't. He was a doctor of some kind… But how could he think I was Shadow!?
Gothica: "I am Gothica, Shadow's sister. What can I do for you?"
The next thing I saw was an image of a blue hedgehog on a nearby screen.
Eggman: "Find this hedgehog and eliminate him."
At last! At last I could begin my revenge! But I couldn't let him in on it. So, I went along with it.
~~Sonic's POV~~
Things were going just like normal; I was out on my night patrol, Shadow was off doing whatever he wanted, and nothing could've gone wrong… Or, so I thought. There was a bright light, a light I knew as Chaos Control. And when it cleared, I saw someone who looked like Shadow but more feminine…
Sonic: "Shadow?"
????: "No, Sonic the Hedgehog. I am Gothica the Hedgehog."
Sonic: "Gothica?"
Next thing I new, I was on the ground in pain. This chick, or whatever she was, was definitely connected to Shadow. You know, aside from the appearance. I mean, they had he same attitude, the same moves, the same anger-management issues. But… there was something about her… Anyway, she pulled out a Chaos Emerald and that's when I knew I was in over my head.
Gothica: "I'll give you ten seconds to leave the city."
I knew I was beat. So I left, but I didn't leave the city, I went home… Which just happened to be outside of the city…
~~Gothica's POV~~
It had been too easy. But… there was something about that… Sonic… Unfortunately before I could finish my thought, the one person I hated more than anyone else, showed up.
Shadow: "Gothica."
Gothica: "Shadow… I should've known…"
Knowing Shadow, I knew he wasn't there to make nice. It's not in his character.
Shadow: "So, what my big sister up to this time?"
Gothica: "None of your damn business!"
Of course, before we could continue our argument, the doctor contacted both of us…
Eggman: "Gothica! Shadow! BOTH OF YOU NEED TO GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!!!"
Instead of going back to his base, I went back to the place I once called home, to see what had changed, and of course, Shadow decided to follow me there.
