I was listening to Brad Paisley: I'm Gonna Miss Her, when I got this idea.
"The weather today is forecasted to be sunny and bright." The weather man said. "A perfect day to be outside fishing."
"You couldn't have said it better." Tai said, as he prepared himself. He was wearing his usual fishing gear. Thick boots, jacket, etc. He was readying himself to go to his usual spot fishing spot. He went there nearly every day, just soaking up the sun and waiting for the fish to come biting. He didn't always catch something, but he didn't go there to catch them. He went there to relax. He didn't have much to do, now that digimon and humans lived side by side. The world was at peace, and so was he. So, today was another beautiful day. A perfect day to refine his skills again. He grabbed his bait box and his pole and walked to the door. Of course, before he could get there, the usual someone stopped him.
"And where do you think you're going?" Sora said, tapping a foot.
"Uhh, nowhere." Tai answered, his eyes looking around the room for a quick escape.
"Right." Sora said, rolling her eyes. "Like the fishing gear doesn't give it away." Tai groaned. "I'm sick of you going out on the lake. Why don't you just stay home and spend time with me?"
"I spend plenty of time with you here." Tai said, defending himself. "But, I like to get out once and a while. You know. Get some fresh air, relax. That's all. It's not a bad thing. It's not like I'm going out to the bar, get a drink, and come home drunk." He turned away from her, with his arms crossed.
Sora stomped her foot. "That's it, Tai." She said, raising her voice. "I've had it with you. This whole fishing thing has gone far enough." She walked into another room. When she was gone for a few moments, Tai started to sweat. 'Is she leaving me?' He thought. 'Nah, not over something this silly. Right? Right, that's it. I'm just thinking too much.' Then she came back into the room, wearing fishing gear. "If you're not staying, then I'm going. I wouldn't want to leave my little hunky alone, would I?" She giggled, before coming over and kissing him.
Tai was stunned for a moment, before smiling. 'Finally. A compromise.' He thought. "Yeah, sure." He said. "I don't see anything wrong with it."
"Good." Sora said, before walking out the door. "I'm driving."
Just a short thing, nothing special. I was just thinking how stupid it was of the woman, in the song, to threaten him because he went fishing. There's nothing wrong with it. Why doesn't she just go along with him? It didn't make sense, so I made this. Just something to get off my chest, with my favorite original digidestined pairing.
