Romilda Vane was in the library, looking for a good book to entertain her. She was tired to see that Harry didn't even acknowledge her presence. What she needed was a good distraction and a book would do it. A novel, of course, not one of those awfully heavy textbooks Hermione Granger read.
She was looking through the novel section of the library, when a battered orange book caught her attention: "Girls to Girls, Hogwarts' Heart Therapy"
The book was a series of open-letters that various students had written and charmed to stick in it. The last entry was six years ago, but the very first was written in the founders era.
The students added pages to answer the open letters. Romilda was soon captivated by the book. Some found clear answers to their requests or interrogations. Like Mary Smith who assured Lucy W. that the Ravenclaw seeker indeed fancied her. Lullaby was now sure that Jones dated Scarlet, E.W. saw it. Poor Lullaby. But the stories were not all just gossip.
Fleur-de-Lys asked herself why she was more of an Esmeralda and how she could live while she had left Quasimodo alone. And why Phoebus was so... Phoebus! She just hoped for a different end than the one Victor Hugo had written.
But it was another letter which really caught Romilda's attention:
Dear readers,
I wonder why he can't see me. I'm here, right in front of him. But he thinks I'm not worthy of him. Which is really untrue! I'm maybe younger, but I know what love is! He has to understand that I'm just like all the other girls; he really has to recognize it! If you ever read this Tom, you have to realize that I'm the right one for you!
I want help; please give me advice dear readers. I need it. What can I do?
A crying and desperate Myrtle.
The situation was similar to hers, so she read the answers. They varied a lot:
If he can't see you, he is not worth it! L.L.
Stop crying and moaning; then maybe he'll notice you exist. Anonymous
You'll never be worthy of him, he's mine! Fiona P.
Hey Myrtle, why don't you use a love potion? G.F.W
The last answer struck her: why didn't she think about using a love potion earlier?
A/N : This was written for the round 3 of the Letter Challenge, thanks Angie for beta-reading all those little stories :) And thanks Schermionie for pointing out some additional mistakes.
This time my characters were Romilda and Myrtle.
There is a small The Hunchback of Notre-Dame reference, tell me if you understand it (I mostly write it for me) Oh, and if you wonder Myrtle's Tom is Tom Riddle.
I hope you'll enjoy it, because I really enjoy writing it :)
