Kiesha'ra Series

Before the avians and serpientes began their thousand years war, there
was the rich mythology of their conception to the earth.

Prologue

Long before the serpientes, mistari, avians and falcons existed there were the mighty dragons. Their numbers were few and they were more akin to gods than the known shapeshifters of
today.

The dragons were immortal and each one had a cosmic or elemental power of his own. Each dragon held his or her own domain among the many nations of the world and stood as the protectors of their respective people.

All was well until the Kinovos clan had begun a lofty expansion of their lands beyond the bounds of their coastal Riojin nation. The Dragon Goddess of lightning and the Dragon God of fire came together in insolent matrimony to test the rule set by the dragons of old to never cross breed the elemental powers of fire, water, air, earth, metal and lightning.

In doing so the Kinovos pair broke tradition and bore a son with the power to create his own twisted version of fire-lightning. They named him Segamonos and instilled in him the need to destroy and conquer any entity that stood between him and his empire. He grew to be a fearsome warrior king.

Within the first thousand years of his life, Segamonos had conquered over the many peoples of the adjacent lands creating a multi-ethnic empire that extended the span of the entire eastern
continent.

Each time a dragon of another powerful tribe attempted to challenge him; Segamonos either annihilated them or assimilated them into his ever-growing coalition of loyal dragons.

One thing was certain, anyone who saw blue flames or heard thunder without rain; knew that his or her life would never be the same.

On the other side of the world existed a peaceful civilization older than any other. Secluded by vast ocean and mountains the Altair civilization peacefully worshiped the moon and the harvest without fear for over 3000 years. Altair was the nexus, cornerstone of all things philosophical and scientific. All other civilizations took inspiration from Altair adopting their mode of self-governance and even their gods.

However, due to the years of isolation and Kinovos' looming influence, Altair was at the brink of its existence. No longer was it the powerful island of yore. To make matters worse, the current dragon goddess was too young and weak to be of use to the declining nation.

Over the years, the dragon goddess' authority waned from first being the sole ruler of Altair to becoming a secluded high priestess confined to the red moon temple. There she was meant to spend the whole of her life toiling in isolation, beseeching, pandering to the gods.
