sorry it's been ages since I've written a fic, but I havn't really been very inspired (crap excuse, I know. Sorrysorry)

I just finished watching Alice, & completely fellin love with the whole Alice&Hatter thing.

I wanted to write something straight away, otherwise I would have come up with something a bit better.

anyway, this is my poem for them

Disclaimer: The story is not mine. It belongs to the people who wrote, directed & starred in it (and TBH I think it's mainly Andrew Lee-Potts's brilliant, loveable performance that makes their relationship what it is.)

Brown eyes lined by smudgy black;

Awkward awkward headstrong boy.

Brains and beauty, deadly match,

She's Jack Heart's brand new little toy.

***

Soaked from high and scary drop,

Lighten up girl, feel the breeze.

Persuaded by the wet, wet dress.

She asks for help, and he agrees.

***

Scruffy hair & small top hat,

Cheeky smile and smudgy black.

Not sure how to talk to her

But held her hand to stop the fear.

***

Takes a bullet for her sake.

Makes her feel safe when up so high.

Firelight playing off her face.

She loves Jack; he's a lucky guy.

***

Saves her time and time again.

But while he sleeps she slips away.

Leaves borrowed coat on twisted tree.

How could she leave so easily?

***

Persuaded by a wet, wet dress

But love replaced a playful lust.

A fiery girl to take his heart.

He'll die to save her if he must.

***

She chases Jack; it breaks his heart.

He thinks he isn't good enough.

Liquid eyes that shine so wet.

Says he'll be fine, tries to be tough.

***

It's playing there upon his lips,

An interrupted almost-kiss.

So much more worthy of her love

Than the tricksy, tricksy Prince.

***

The final fight, her father dies.

He holds her tight and dries her eyes.

His heart is hers, is her heart his?

She hugs him; he's in instant bliss.

***

Not sure how to say the words

That'll stop her slip away.

Scared she doesn't love him back;

Scared to whisper 'Alice, stay.'

***

Lets her go but chases after.

Saves her one more final time.

Construction worker, saviour, lover.

Finally, the kiss is his.

***

Holds her, loves her, oh so much.

Gives up his home for her blue eyes.

Whispers 'Finally, I've missed you.'

She murmurs back 'And so have I.'
