Chapter 1-Good week ruined

Mydia was sweet, not too sweet but a nice girl, she was that type of person who would put her education before popularity but still had many friends and people who liked her. She was hard working, brave, respected and well known- but not too well known unlike Ino and Sakura who would often scream about new makeup, boys and open their legs for anything that breathed.
Her best friends were Ten Ten her cousins girlfriend and her sister Hinata, when Mydia was just 4 months old she was adopted by Hisashi, the leader of the Hyuga clan. Even though he wasn't her birth father he treated her like his own and all the Hyugas were quick to accept her as family even though their striking differences. Instead of having pale lavender eyes and brown or midnight blue hair, she had dark hazel eyes and candy floss pink hair.

6AM- Another day of school, GREAT, not that Mydia hated school she enjoyed it but some of the people really did piss her off. Like Ino and Sakura fantasizing about Sasuke, Gaara or Kiba...Gaara, everyone was crazy about him, apart from her of course. Personally, she thought he was a disgusting man whore who took advantage of his good looks to use girls for one thing and act like he never knew them the next day. How did she know? Ino, Sakura, Ten Ten (before her cousin), Tayuya, Matsuri and the rest. Every girl she practically knew had complained about him using them for sex at least once in their life and some even more. At first Mydia was very sympathetic and would speak to her friends about it for hours but now she would roll her eyes and give them a simple 'You should have listened'. Sure he was good looking but he had a personality of a brick wall, no in fact a brick wall would be more warming then that bastard, Mydia then shook her head and focused on getting ready for another week at school. She decided that this week was going to be a good one and NOTHING was going to make her mad or upset.

The school was round the corner so ten minutes before the bell rung Mydia, Neji, Hinata and Ten Ten (as she would stay over most nights with Neji) would all walk together catching the fresh morning breeze but this morning was slightly different, just before the group of 4 left the door Hisashi called Mydia behind saying he needed two minutes of her time.
"Do you want us to wait for you?" Ten Ten asked with a pretty smile behind her voice "No its fine, you can all go ahead, it will be something silly like I forgot someones birthday or something, I'll be two minutes" Mydia chirped running back inside with the door still wide open. She walked into the kitchen where her father was sat down drinking a strong coffee with a bowl of cereal, she smiled at him and he returned one back at her.
"Firstly" Hisashi started "I love you, you obviously know, you are not my real daughter by blood, but I love you equally to everyone in this clan"
"Is something going on father?" Mydia questioned as her heart started racing a little faster "As you know, profit is a major thing in this clan and arranged marriage is something that keeps us pure, if I could choose to let you wed anyone of your choice, I would but it would be impossible to break the tradition now, Hanabi is too young and Hinata is still too much in her shell, and I think you would be perfect... I am sorry"
Mydia sighed, she knew this day would come so she wasn't as surprised as she should have been.
"Don't apologize father! Its was bound to happen sooner or later, who is it?" "Gaara, I believe his name is"

ALRIGHT, this is my first fan fiction and as much as I love Gaara and Hinata being together I thought I would try giving him a made up partner this time, nothing against Hinata just want to see how it goes, please let me know.
