This is just a short fic written in Asami's POV. A little bit OOC but, well that's how it is. All characters belong to Ayame. :D Enjoy!
Asami's Kitten
Once in a while there is a kitten that visits Asami's penthouse. The kitten's gold colored fur shines when under the sun. Its fur is so soft and smooth. It has hazel eyes so round and large that seem to sparkle whenever you look at them.
The kitten was so adorable that Asami looks forward when it visits. Asami did everything to make his penthouse comfortable hoping to make the kitten stay in his penthouse for good. But the kitten never stays for more than a day. But today was a little different.
Asami arrived home and saw the kitten sleeping on the couch. The kitten has been in his penthouse for two days already. He stroked the kitten's head. The sleeping kitten used its paws to remove the intruding fingers and went on to continue its sleep. Asami let out a soft chuckle and proceeded to his room to take a bath. After changing his clothes he went back to the living room and gathered the sleeping kitten in his arms. He stroked its head as he walked towards his bedroom. He placed the kitten on the bed gently so as not to wake it up. Then he laid down on his side next to it.
The kitten felt a little cold so it sought the warm creature beside it. It finally managed to snuggle into Asami's chest. Soon after the kitten fell into the world of dreams. In the dream the kitten was playing with another cat. That cat was someone he cared for and looked up to. At first he was warned not to associate with the cat because it was dangerous and could get him killed. But the kitten was stubborn and continued to secretly follow after the cat. The cat noticed that he was being followed hence he set up a trap to catch the kitten. When he caught the kitten that was where their relationship began. The kitten got to learn things about the cat which were true and not true. There were also many times when the kitten was saved by the cat. The cat also learned that it grew to love the little kitten. It would constantly worry about the innocent little kitten who could be chased and hurt by his enemies. One time the kitten was kidnapped by a gang of felines. The cat without reserve rushed to save the kitten but was shot in the process. The kitten was so frightened that it cried so hard.
Asami woke up in the middle of the night when he heard a soft meow from the kitten. It sounded frightened and sad. When he looked at the kitten, he noticed some tears on the corner of the kitten's eyes. His poor kitten was having a bad dream. He gathered the kitten closer to him and stroked its head gently while his other hand held its body. The kitten nestled snugly on Asami's chest. Asami continued to stroke kitten's back which always calmed down the kitten. The kitten let out a soft sob and finally calmed down. After a few minutes the kitten went back to sleep.
When Asami woke up in the morning the kitten was gone. But he was sure it would come back. The kitten will always return to him because it is Asami's kitten.
