3rd POV

Sunlight came through the window of a certain blonde haired girl's apartment, causing her to squint her eyes at the sudden intrusion of light. she retreated back to the confines of her cocoon that she made in her sleep. Making sure that the light couldn't get to her. For the past month she couldn't sleep do to the fact of stress and anger. Even the people at the guild could tell something was up, but didn't push the subject. The anger she felt wasn't at any of her teammates but at herself for being totally useless. Their was a dark guild called Drako (not very original but hey) that came after Fairy Tail. During the battle she manage to get capture. the dark guild thought that if they took one of the members that Fairy Tail would back of. Little did they know they had to deal with a very pissed off dragon slayer. Would she ever get a break from being captured she thought as she still lay in her cocoon. The thing that urked her the most was the fact that Natsu came to save her only to get badly injured and still have to fight. She felt bad about that. The stress however was from thinking of all the thing she could have done different. She was so tired after two weeks that she just passed out the moment she sat on her bed. She looked at where the clock sat on her dresser and it said it 8:16 A.M.. She moaned at the time all she wanted to do was to stay at her home and not speak to anyone, but she knew better. If she didn't go then Erza,Gray and Natsu would come to her place to see if she was there and then pull her to the guild hall. They didn't want her to be alone when she was like this. So she got out of bed and made her way to her to the bathroom. When she was in there she removed her red t-shirt, black shorts and then her skin toned bra and underwear that she wore the day before. She then turned on the water to the shower and waited for the water to heat up. When the temperature was to her liking she got in and let the warm water run over her. she let out a sigh as the warm water made her relax. She then proceeded to wash herself. When she was satisfied she got out grabbed a towel that was on the towel rack and dried herself off. She then walked out hoping that Natsu didn't break into her house. When she didn't see the dragon slayer she walked over to her dresser pulled out a dark blue t-shirt, black skinny jeans and her dark blue bra and underwear. when she was fully dressed she put on her black boots and her belt. She picked up her keys attaching the holder the were in on her belt and grabbing her wip. Then she exited her house and made her way to the guild. When she got there she took a breath and opened the door and made her way to her usual seat at the bar table and sat down. "Hey Mira can I get a strawberry milkshake" Mira was washing some of the glasses. She looked up "Hey Lucy, sure be right back" she walked to the back and a few minutes later brought out a strawberry milkshake.

Lucy's POV

While at the bar I was thinking about the dark guild that we went against a month ago and while I was not my usual self. Everyone else was back to normal. Well normal as in Gray and Natsu fighting then Erza comes in and breaks it up by hitting both of them in the head. Then they pretend to be best friends and their so afraid all they can say is 'aye' like Happy.

After a while I hears someone call me but I just ignored it I was to deep in thought. What I was thinking about was the last battle they had the whole time everyone was fighting I was passed out, captured and didn't have my keys because they were stolen. So I couldn't do a thing and that pissed me off. Why did i have to be this weak. So I was thinking of a way that I could make myself stronger so that I could join in on the battles and fights they had with ether the dark guilds or small attackers they run into on missions (by they I mean Natsu, Lucy and Happy). It like every time they get attacked Natsu is the one that protects me and getting himself hurt in the process which I can't stand. Then in that instant I stood up and ended up scaring Nastu in the process. " I got it!" I yelled it and the only one that heard me was Natsu..

"You got what?" He said in a puzzled voice

"Oh, it's nothing" I said with a startled look as I sat back down and tried to avoid him staring at me.

"Well it doesn't seem like nothing you were spaced out for a while I called you seven times" he said staring at me.

"Oh, sorry why were you calling me" I said with a small laugh and turned to look at him.

"Yeah,to see if you were willing to take a job with me" He asked pointing to the job board.

"Um, no I'll pass sorry" I said slowly

"Why you usually say 'yes then I can pay my rent' and you usually say it all cheerful and happy"he said in a concerned voice."is something wrong Lucy"

"NO, nothing" I said in a snapping voice and then realized that he had a hurt expression " I'm sorry Natsu. It's just I am really tired and need some sleep" I said and it was true I only got one good night of sleep in a month

"It's ok you do look tired. Well luce I will see you tomorrow."

"Yeah see you tomorrow" I said and then left the guild hall. When I arrived back at my apartment I was deep thought when I said earlier 'I got it' what I got was that in order for me to become stronger I would leave fairy tail for a while to train so that I could stand toe to toe to Gray, Natsu or Erza well at least to where she could put up a fight and not pass out. So I went and grabbed my suitcase and packed up all of the stuff that would fit and called Virgo to store them. So I could leave tonight because I didn't want to see my friends. It was night by the time i got all my stuff packed. So I went back to the guild hall and no one was in there except for Mira. I walked over to the bar and asked "hey Mira is master up stairs "

Mira looked up to see me and gave a small smile then answered "yep he is still up there. Looking at some paperwork"

"Ok thank Mira" Mira nodded and I went upstairs to see master. I came to the door that was his office and knocked on the door "come in" I heard him say and then entered the room. when I went in makarov was sitting doing paperwork looking a little annoyed. he looked up from what he was doing "what's up my child"

"well, I am leaving the guild for a while." I said with a determined look

"WHAT, but why lucy?" he said in a startled voice

"I want to train to become stronger."

"But you will leave you friends and teammates when they hear you are leaving the will rush after you to stop you. just like they did when you went back to you fathers house."

"I know that is why I am not telling them that I am leaving because I know that will happen and Natsu will be the first one out the door to look for me or to stop me."

"Well there is no point in fighting over this since you are so determined, but may I ask?"

"Yes, what is it?"

"Do you plan to return to Fairy Tail?"

"Yes, but I don't know when I will return." He then got up and removed the fairy tail logo with a pained look on his face then turned around probably because he didn't want to see me leave. "Goodbye Master" I said and then i left.

As I made my way back to my house I went in and sat on my bed for a bit. Then I went out of my room and I looked back on what happened in the past Natsu and Happy always coming into my room uninvited and all the fun the guys and I had, then I turned off the lights and walked out the door. I was on my way out of town when I decided to look back and take in the town I wouldn't be seeing for a long time. Then I kept on walking and was about a mile out of town. I looked back one more time and I could see the guild hall and thought 'i'm going to miss everybody more importantly I will miss Natsu the most.'

THE NEXT DAY

Natsu pov.

when I got to the guild hall everything was the same but I noticed that lucy wasn't at her usual spot. Usual Lucy is their before me everyday so I went to asked Mirajane "hey, Mira where's lucy"

Mira looked up from what she was doing and looked at me "I don't know, but I can tell you that she came in here last night when everyone was gone and talked to master but sadly I don't know what they talked about. You could ask master yourself Natsu." she said with an innocent face.

"Yeah I think i'll do that. thanks Mira." she nodded and I made my way up stairs to the old man they called master's office. I was at the door and knocked then I hear him say "Come in". So I entered and the old man was just sitting there with a sad expression. I asked "Hey Master do you know where lucy is I can't find her." Master then looked up with a pained expression on his face then he said "Lucy, she left the guild" my eyes widened and I felt my heart dropped. The person I liked was gone I couldn't figure out why she would leave or at least say something before she left.

"what why" I said in a pained voice.

"To go train. she said she wanted to become stronger. it's probably because of the last battle we had she couldn't help that much and someone knocked her out." he said in a sad voice

"When did she leave. I can go after her and tell her to stop" I said with the same pained voice.

"It's already too late she left last night she would be over 12 hours away. Natsu I suggest you just deal with the fact that she has left." he said and I left the room and went down stairs and sat at the bar. Mirajane asked "So did he know where lucy is?" I nodded "So where is she?" She said with a smile. I frowned and said "Lucy left the guild." Mira's eyes widened and she couldn't speak. Erza heard and said in a yelling voice "LUCY LEFT!" Then the whole guild went silent and they all had sad faces I knew they were sad but not as sad as I was the girl I like just left without saying anything to me. All i could feel was a pain in my chest and the urge to cry. We all knew that the Fairy Tail guild will never be the same again unless Lucy comes back.

Ok so I'm rewriting the entire fanfic and this one will be even better. My writing style changed a bit and so did my thoughts on the story. It will be the same story just way better than when I first wrote it. I hope you guys like the new version of the story. Also i give more of a reason why she left. SO PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU LIKE THIS VERSION BETTER OR THE OTHER. Till next time!
