Rosalie's nose crinkled in disgust. "Urgh, there's a wolf coming."
Edward stood with a frown. "Jacob," he said quietly going to the door. He opened it before the younger could even raise his hand to knock.
Jasper was nearly knocked over by the power of his emotions. Worry, fear, anxiety, they made him dizzy. There was also a smell there… blood. Alice touched his arm with a concerned look.
"What is it Jacob?" Edward questioned, the shifter's mind was blocked due to whatever had happened.
Jacob took a couple of deep breaths to try to calm himself. "Carlisle. And Jasper. I…we need them to come."
Carlisle appeared at Edward's side. "What's happened?"
"The female vampire, Victoria, she was here before you got back from your hunting trip today."
"Bella…?" Edward questioned.
"Is safe," Jacob answered. "Please, we have to hurry. You and Jasper need to come."
Carlisle was confused as to why Jacob was asking for Jasper to come. He had been granted permission to cross the treaty line in times of medical emergencies, and Edward had gotten permission after Jacob had imprinted on him but why Jasper?
Edward sighed at Carlisle's thoughts; they had kept their secret well. Only the pack, Alice and himself knew that Seth had imprinted on Jasper. Jasper had accepted the imprint months ago but both he and Seth wanted to wait until the time was right to tell everyone.
Jasper came to stand behind his father and brother. Jacob looked at him with pleading eyes. "You have to come."
"It might be a better idea if there is a lot of blood for Jasper to stay here," Carlisle reasoned. Jacob started shaking his head in the middle of his statement.
"No, no, no! Jasper has to come. He's asking for you."
Jasper's eyes widened and he took a step forward, finally piecing together where all of Jacob's emotions were coming from. "You mean…"
"It's Seth. She got Seth," Jacob stated quietly.
