I feel like Lorelai and Luke should have ended with something more. Although when Luke said he liked seeing Lorelai happy, I swooned. This is how I think the show should have ended, at least, because personally, I never wanted it to end. lol I can keep going if I get enough people wanting me to continue.
She approached the diner. She stood, looking at the man she loved. As always he was wiping the counter. He sensed her and looked up. They just looked at each other. She smiled, he smiled.
She walked inside and walked up to the counter.
He walked up to her, put down a cup, poured coffee, and then asked, "How are you?"
Taking a sip of coffee, Lorelai replied, "I don't know. I feel like I need more time with her, but then I'd feel that even if we were together this summer." Taking another sip Lorelai added, "I'm going to miss her so much."
"She'll miss you too."
Looking directly in his eyes Lorelai said, "I really appreciate what you did for her. It meant a lot."
"It wasn't just for her, Lorelai. I hope you know that."
"I do know." She paused and continued, "I feel like so much has changed. I can't believe that I'm still sane. I should feel like Brittany." Finishing her coffee Lorelai picked up her purse. She wanted to say something to Luke but couldn't, and started walking to the door.
"I meant it you know."
Lorelai whirled around, and looked at Luke.
Luke walked to where Lorelai was standing, "Take as long as you want. I'm still here."
Lorelai took few steps, closed the space between them, and kissed him.
"I'm ready now." she whispered.
