Celia sits at Alan's bedside, in the hospital, and cries. She'd had a huge row with Caroline and they're not currently talking. She'd had a row with Alan and Alan had called off the wedding. Now Celia's not even sure if Alan will live. Gillian is laying with her head on Celia's lap, fast asleep. Celia can't sleep, not until she knows Alan is okay.
Caroline got a call from Gillian when Alan had his heart attack. Gillian said Caroline's mum was coming to the hospital with Gillian. Caroline was hesitant about coming to the hospital until she heard her mum had talked to Kate and got things settled. "Mum?" Caroline says quietly as she enters the room. "Are you okay?"
"Caroline!" Celia looks up at Caroline and immediately bursts into tears. "Thanks for coming love."
Caroline walks in and sits on the arm of the sofa and puts her arms around her mum. "Thanks for talking to Kate. Is he going to be okay?"
"I just want you to be happy, love. It just took me a few days to realize that. Alan and I had a big row and he called off the wedding for the time being. He's okay. He's stable, but that hasn't made me worry less. I won't feel okay until I see him open his eyes and I can talk to him and apologize. I'm scared." Celia says honestly.
"Mum, I'm sure he'll be fine. He'll be around for you to baby and fuss over. Was it really a severe heart attack?" Caroline asks gently.
"Yes, it was really severe and next time it could be worse. I never thought I'd be as concerned about another person, other than you, as I am about Alan." Celia has tears running down her face and her mascara is running down from her eyes.
