Disclaimer: I own the Santa suit and that's it.
Seems like there is always someone who disapproves
Shawn Spencer came running into the police station in his old Santa suit screaming "MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!".
Lassie rolled his eyes at him; while Juliet walked over to her fiance and kissed him briefly.
"Get a room you two, this is a police station not a makeout hut." said Lassiter sternly as he glared at the couple.
" Well, hello to you too Mr. grinchy pants." said Shawn smiling widely at him. His actions seemed to aggravate Lassiter even further as his expression became colder and his glare intensified.
"You know, you two aren't good for eachother. I mean, hell, Spencer kept a secret from you for seven years what makes you think he won't do it again." responded Lassie, slyly.
"Lasiter I got over it and I know he only kept the secret from me because he knew if the chief found out he could go to jail." said Juliet empathetically at her old partner.
"Yeah" said Shawn just because he was feeling left out, and he would do anything for some attention. They didn't even notice he spoke. A frown found its way upon his face and he hoped that Jules would use her magic fiance radar and know that he needed the attention. She usually did, even if he did use his nose to her hand to get her attention, like a small dog.
"Keep telling yourself that Juliet, One day you'll just find another secret he have been keeping from you and I am just trying to warn you so you don't have to go through any pain." said Lassiter as he ran a hand through his graying hair and muttered a foul word under his breath.
Lassiter walked away, the soles of his shoes making a tapping noise that sounded like high heels as they faded away. For a moment he stopped walking and faced the stunned couple. He raised his coffee mug towards them before taking a swig of his coffee. Lassie sat at his desk and started working on old paperwork that he had neglected.
Shawn and Juliet stood in stunned silence for a moment as they registered what Lassie had said to their faces. Shawn knew that he shouldn't be surprised and should have expected that Lassie would eventually blow up and blame him for all that, but he hadn't expected him to try and get into Jules' head to mess with him.
"Shawn, are you hiding anything from me that I should know about?" asked Juliet. Shawn felt a small stab of pain at the idea that she had even believed Lassie for a moment. But, he knew his track record was not the best, and he didn't want to test his limits.
