Hello, everybody! I am new to fanfiction, so I will only be posting one shots for a while. However, if you encounter a one shot that you like and would like to see continued, just drop me a review or PM me.
So I got part of this idea from my sister, and the other from the Broadway show. I want to see this happen, now!
Enjoy!
50 years of Phantom
Patrons filed into the Majestic Theater on Broadway. Excited women who had seen the show as a child pulled along their husbands and children, eager for the show to start.
It had been 50 years since Andrew Lloyd Webber's famous musical; 'The Phantom of the Opera' had opened on Broadway. To everybody's shock and delight, it had stayed on Broadway, being and instant hit with fans everywhere.
When it had been on Broadway for 25 years, there was a mass rush towards all things Phantom. The performance had been blessed with many wonderful actors, namely Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo.
"Oh, how wonderful, honey!" A mother whispered to her teenage daughter. "Mrs. Boggess is returning as Madam Giry! I'm sure she'll do splendid." She smiled. "You know, she is the one I saw..."
"...all those years ago." The teenager silently finished. She was as excited as her mother, but refused to show it. Until her mother showed her the cast list.
"Mmm! Looks like somebody knew you were coming, Amy!" She pointed to a middle aged man named Mr. Karimloo. She winked at her daughter, knowing she had a certain fascination with the man.
"OMG, really? Who's he playing?"
Her mother scanned the page. "Monsieur Firman, one of the mangers. Oh and look! It's Hadley Fraser!"
"You're joking. It can't be."
"Really, sweetie! He's Monsieur Andre! It's so nice that even after 25 years, they still feel committed to the role."
The lights suddenly dimmed and the warnings about flash photography came on.
When the auction scene began, all started to get pulled into the show... until the display of the wooden pistol and skulls came up.
There was only one skull, and it was a mess. Blood was splatted up by the left temple, and wisps of skin and hair drifted down.
Everyone's stomach did a slow roll.
"oh, God!" An old lady up front cried. "It looks...fresh!"
"Maybe it's Erik's!" a young girl giggled.
The oddest part was that for one moment, the cast seemed to break character. The auctioneer had a smirk on his face, and the nun behind Raoul was giving a devilish grin. The dialogue continued, and people dismissed what they had seen.
When the show was complete, and everybody had taken their final bows, the same teenage girl, Amy, flipped through her souvenir book. Upon reaching the credits page, however, she froze. There, in tiny print at the bottom of the page, was this message:
"We thank Andrew Lloyd Webber for donating his skull to be featured in our auction scene. Although we are sad he died in such a way, he continues to bring new life to the show in this way."
