"Have you ever tried to make a garden gnome on its head?" Luna asked with her large curious eyes pointed to George who was currently de-gnoming the garden along with Fred, Ron, and Harry.
George let his eyes slip away from an easily catchable gnome to look at his girlfriend who was solemnly seated cross-legged and looking up at him expectantly. He smirked and decided to humour her.
"Luna, love, why would I ever try to make one of these ugly things stand on its head?" George spotted a gnome very close by and yanked it. He dangled it in the air while saying, "I mean, I really doubt they'd look any better upside down" his face wrinkled in disgust as he eyes the creature.
"Because, love, making garden gnomes stand on their heads would make them do a little spin while they're upside down," said Luna factually.
George's eyes turned back to her and he smiled even more. He never got tired of hearing Luna's beliefs—they were just so weird and creative—and Luna appreciated his deep interest in what she would say when everyone else just thought she was odd. It was because of this that they ended up a couple.
"Of course they do, love," George said a bit sarcastically then prepared his throwing position until Luna had stopped him.
"Well aren't you going to try it?" Luna cut in. When George looked back at her she seemed a bit hurt.
He gave a little sigh; it wasn't an exhausted sigh, it was an amused one, really. He sat beside her on the ground and she rested her head on his shoulder.
"Things I do for this girl," he muttered to himself slightly before turning the gnome on its head then placing it on the ground. With a head as large and disproportioned as the gnome's, it would be normal to not find balance in standing on your head. After a bit of wobbling here and there, the gnome somehow managed to get a hard ground and, sure enough, spun a whole circle at least twice before landing roughly on its back then scurrying off back into its gnome hole.
George was left speechless while Luna looked at him triumphantly. After blinking slightly to make sure he didn't just imagine that, he said, "Impressive." Luna gave a little giggle then gave him a kiss on his cheek.
