Frank walked into Liz's office, making a half-hearted effort to knock on her open door and shutting it behind him.
Liz looked up from her laptop. "What's up, Frank?"
"So Avery's gone, huh?"
"Seems that way. Jack's tried everything to get her back."
"So are you two going to start boffing again?"
Liz's expression was a mix of annoyance and confusion. "What?"
"I said, are you two going to..."
She cut him off, exasperated. "Why do you think we used to 'boff'?"
"You mean you haven't been?"
"No!"
"Well, I just assumed that's how you kept TGS on the air. I mean, when Jack got married we almost got canceled."
Liz put maximum irritation in her voice. "It's because Tracy was gone, Frank. Remember that?"
Frank squinted to consider that for a moment. "So all the goo-goo eyes and hanging out together didn't mean you two were doing it?"
"What 'goo-goo eyes?' Eww, no."
"Because if I were Jack, I would definitely have hit that, like, four years ago."
"No. We are not having this conversation." Liz stood up and moved towards the door.
Frank's body language indicated he didn't really believe Liz's denial. It didn't help that his cap read "NOT BUYING IT". He started to exit the office, then turned. "Well, Lynn and I are talking about buying a place, so if there's anything you could, you know, do to keep our jobs safe..."
"Get out!" Liz slammed the door on him.
Frank cracked open the door and peeked his head in. "Also, if you do decide to get busy, if you could let me know in advance, I could win the office pool. I'd give you a cut," he offered.
"Go!" Liz punctuated her command with a cup of pens thrown at the door.
Frank exited as she sat back in her chair with an exasperated sigh.
