"Well aren't you cute?" said Humphrey, smiling over me. "You look like someone I know."
"That's because it is me!" I exclaimed to him. "There was a storm brewing on the way home, a big flash happened, I fainted and now I'm a puppy again!"
"Where's your mommy, cutie?" Humphrey asked, looking around and acting as if he didn't hear me. "Who on earth would leave a pup all alone out here?"
"What do you mean where's my mommy?" I asked, embarrassed by that comment. "Humphrey! Can't you understand me?"
"No one seems to be around..."
All I could do was roll my eyes and stare up at Humphrey while he looked around for any sign of a wolf that was to be my mom or dad. I couldn't believe he couldn't see his own mate was sitting right in front of him. I mean we grew up together! Shouldn't he remember my old puppy look? Either way this wasn't good at all.
"I guess that means I should take you home with me until someone comes to claim you." Humphrey said cheerfully.
"Humphrey! No!" I dodged his attempt to pick me up. "I mean it! Don't you dare pick me up!"
"You're a fast little pup aren't you?" Humphrey chuckled.
"This isn't funny, Humphrey!" I shouted.
During my yell of anger at him, he seized his chance and picked me up by the scruff of my neck and began to carry me back home. Humiliated enough by the way he was speaking to me, I wasn't going to stand for him to treat me like this.
"I can walk myself," I growled, swiping a paw at his muzzle.
Scratching him under his mouth, he dropped me back to the ground and told me off. I couldn't help but cower a little under his size. He was a giant compared to me.
"Ow! That's a naughty wolf! You don't scratch others! Especially when they're trying to help you!"
Picking me back up, I was forced to let him carry me. Could this get anymore embarrassing? Humphrey treating me like a total pup! When I get back to normal, I swear he's going to have to make up for this. I married an idiot! I knew I was marrying a clown but an idiot? No, I can honestly say I never took Humphrey for an idiot but he was sure proving to be one. Would anyone know their Alpha leader was turned into a puppy? If Humphrey couldn't see it was me and I can't talk properly, the chances are really slim.
