~Two Masters~
Cape billowing behind him,
His face always grim.
Working for the Dark, Working for the Light, a sneer: his noted remark.
The Dark Mark burned upon his skin,
A mistake he had made, not his only sin.
Under the command of two,
He had to be careful, careful with the clues.
Fighting Voldemort and fighting Dumbledore,
Always spinning, he's stuck forever more.
No one suspected his true side,
No one knew, they weren't allied.
Nor Dark nor Light would be his friend,
He only hoped for the end.
His dead true love lay with Lil,
The thought of the cause made him ill.
He battled, while blocking his mind,
So brave, and witty, both sides remained blind.
Not until the end, when Harry had told,
Of his love that never did unfold.
Severus was sorted with the snakes,
Later on, he awakes.
For he truly belonged with the red and gold,
Though he fooled all, his heart remained bold.
