Forever remembered

Memorial Day, a time to remember the fallen soldiers of war. Today, Ricky was patrolling the Cardinals University of Phoenix Stadium. The only problem was that the Cardinal Rusher, Peck, was nowhere in sight. He had asks the Players, the workers, and the owner if they see him, but they just shoke their heads. It was about time for Ricky to go when he found a note, in Peck's hand writing...

Ricky: Maybe he wrote this before he vanished...*Opens up and reads* 'Gone to Arlington National Cemetery to see a friend, be back by tomorrow-Peck' *Confused* Why would Peck be at a cemetery...Arlington no less.

Curious of why Peck was there, Ricky creates a portal to Arlington and jumps in.

Arlington National Cemetery, few minutes later...

Ricky wondered through the path, looking for any signs of the Cardinal..He was about to give up when-

Voice:-and he's really good at throwing a football really hard, he's really fast and very accurate when needed. I might need to beg the team to let him join when he's older.

Ricky recognized the voice and fallowed it to the Faces of the fallen gallery, where he saw Peck talking to a Portrait of one of the soldiers.

Peck: I think you would of love to meet Ricky. It's only been a few months and he's-

Ricky: Right behind you.

Peck jumped and turned to see him.

Peck: Oh, Ricky...*Sighs of relief* Just you. You startled me.

Ricky: Sorry, Peck...*Walks over*who were you talking to?

Peck: *Smiles sadly* Just an old friend of mine who died in the war in 2004...His name was Patrick Daniel Tillman...or "Pat" for short, he was with my team as our Safety for a while, turning down contracts with others teams in order to stay with us. Then after 9/11, he joined the war and was killed in action.

Ricky: *Sad* Peck...I'm so sorry.

Peck: I'm sorry for his family, lot of stuff happened after that. But...I really don't want to think about it. I come every Memorial Day, some of Rusherz do. Stampede visits James Robert Kalsu (Or Bob as we called him) grave, K-9 visits Donald Thomas Steinbrunner grave, and Liberty visits Andrew Jackson Lummus, Jr. We visit them to remember them. As friends, Players and heroes. Ricky, we must never forget what they fought for, weather on the football field or on the battle grounds...We must remember for them, their families and forever.

At this point, Ricky had some tears in his eyes. He then looks at the Portrait Peck was looking at.

Ricky: Hey there, I'm Ricky. I'm the newest Guardian Peck was talking about.

The Two spent the entire day talking...till night fall came and they went home.

HOK,

Ricky and Peck walked out and were greeted by the other Guardians, Ish, Ash, Troy, Tua, and Marty.

Ish: Where have you two been?

The group noticed the tear stains on Ricky.

Ash: Ricky, what happened?

Ricky: *Smiles* Peck was just introducing me to an old friend of his.

Peck smiled, as a tear fell from his face.
