He had a ringtone only for her.
Although he wasn't one of the guys that got totally freaky when their girls called, he always jumped a little when she called. Mostly her calls were about rehearsals, or competitions, but his heart started racing anyway, just because he heard her voice.
It was weird considering the fact that the song was from Ally McBeal, which made it a total girls song, but he thought that song was perfect for her. For her and him.
Since it was sung as a duet, his dreams always involved them singing it.

His heart stops pounding. She's calling. He is breathing harder, deeper than before. Her voice is on the other end of the line, making him feel weak. He needs to act normal, keep her from noticing anything.

She doesn't notice his distress, tells him about why she canceled rehearsals today. The talk isn't very long, just a few sentences implying he wouldn't see her for a few days.
After she hung up, he laid down on his bed, her voice still in his head. He wants to be close to her, to hold her. But their relationship is purely professional, he knows she would never change that.
When he drifts of to sleep, with the song on his lips and her voice in his head, he slowly starts to dream.
A few blocks away, she falls asleep. Jesse was the last kid of VA that she called today, just because she wanted to have his voice in her mind when she goes to bed.
They know it can never be more than dreams, but the dreams themselves wont hurt anyone, right?
