The magical wish-granting comet, NOVA, floated through space. He pondered why he granted wishes. If he was sentient, why did he grant wishes? He loved Planet Popstar. Why had he gone along with Marx's plan?
At that moment, he remembered all the wishes he had granted recently, in order.
A chunk of Dark Matter had wished to have friends, so he didn't turn out like the rest of his brethren. NOVA had granted him a new body and a new name, Gooey, to give him a better chance of escaping his family.
Zero Soul, a ghoulish grey mass with blood stains, had wished for a new body. NOVA agreed, and restored his original body, giving it angel wings, a halo, and a slimy green tail.
'I have been reborn as 02!' he had laughed. NOVA had felt sick at this villain wanting to consume Popstar in evil.
Meta Knight had, of course, wished to fight Galacta Knight to test his strength.
King Dedede had wished for a new castle, not satisfied with his old one. NOVA couldn't believe how greedy some people could be.
Magolor had wished for his Lor Starcutter to have magic powers. Until then, it had been a normal ship, but now, it could do all sorts such as shoot lasers or speak Popstarian, Floralian, and Halcandran.
Taranza had wished, no, begged for Queen Sectonia to come to. To come back to her old self. Taranza had shed tears attempting to redeem his queen. NOVA had too, as the Dimension Mirror had greater powers than himself, so he could not do anything about it.
President Haltmann had wished for his daughter back, but NOVA could not grant him that wish. A NOVA could not undo magic by another NOVA. The cursed spell of the Ancients prevented him.
Hyness had wished only for Zan Partizanne's happiness, before Void Termina had turned him insane.
And now, NOVA remembered those dreaded words,
'Well, I want to control Popstar!'
NOVA had not wanted to grant Marx that fateful wish, but he was forced to. Why did he have to grant wishes?
