The Traveller awoke. All the guardians that lost their light were back to full strength; those that had not died in the Red War that is. Osiris had returned, RASPUTIN was active and sentient on Mars once again. You could say this was a new Golden Age.
Until Cayde-6 and an uncommunicative guardian entered the Prison of Elders to assist Petra Venj in stopping a prison break.
I'm sure you all know the rest of the story. With the Hunter Vanguard murdered, there was a shift in attitude across the planet Earth. Guardians traversed the Tangled Shore to bring Uldren Sov, The Forsaken Prince, to justice. And bring an end to the zombie-esque Fallen known as the Scorn.
But was it really for justice? Revenge is an incredibly dark trait for the Guardians to take on.
The line between light and dark is oh so very thin. So thin in fact, that Guardians have become tethered to the ever-looming Darkness, detaching themselves from their Ghost and the light. The Darkness grows ever closer. Are you ready for this?
So, this is a Destiny SYOC (Submit Your Original Character for those unaware). At the moment, I plan to have 2 fireteams of six. That does not mean I will only be accepting 12 OC's, just that the main focus will be on them. The story will take place Post-Forsaken (will try and line up with the Annual Pass releases). As mentioned in that little snippet, the Guardian in which the game follows does exist, but as their own entity, so the OC's will be their own Guardian, not a different version of the same one.
Having played both Destiny games, I've never actually written a fic on it. Whilst my attitude towards playing the game has changed, I still enjoy the story and world-building, which I want to add a slice too.
