Freddie walked into Carly's apartment to find his two friends sitting side by side on the couch with their feet up on the table, individual blankets covering both of them. Hearing the door open and shut, the two girls turned.
"Hey." Carly and Sam said lazily.
"Hey." He responded flatly. It was dark in the apartment, the only source of light came from the movie they were watching on TV. He sat down on the open spot on the couch beside Sam. She surprisingly didn't get up, or tell him to move. Instead, she relaxed. If he didn't know better, he'd say she moved closer. An hour passed on the girls fell asleep. He turned to see Carly curled up on the end. Sam was in the same position she was before, her head had turned and was facing him. She was so adorable when she was asleep. She had no make-up on and her soft blonde curls flowed down. He brought his hand up and brushed away a stray curl that fell in her face. She again, didn't do anything. She stirred slightly and settled her head on his shoulder. He couldn't help but smile. He wrapped his arm around her, his hand settled on her waist. He kissed her head softly and rested his cheek on her head and fell asleep.
He woke up several hours later, he felt the blonde moving beside him. He opened his eyes to see her sitting up. She turned to see him looking at her with his soft brown eyes.
She cleared her throat,"sorry." She whispered, trying to not wake her best friend.
He shrugged,"I didn't mind." He gave her a small smile.
She returned a similar smile.
"Ya know you're adorable when you sleep." He said softly, stroking her blonde curls. His fingers running lines down her back through the strands, sending shivers through her. As much as she thought she should hit him away, she didn't want to. It was comforting.
"Knock it off benson." She muttered,"you're being annoying."
He smirked,"then why haven't you pushed me away?"
She paused,"cause I like it." She said quietly
He smiled. He sat up and came close to her. His hand continued to run through her hair, his fingers leaving invisible lines on her back. His other hand came to hers as it rested in her lap. His fingers gently came under either her palm, and their fingers intertwined slowly. Sam turned to face him. He was a lips distance away.
"We broke up a week ago." She pointed out in a whisper. Yes, it's been a week since the young couple broke up in elevator.
"That doesn't mean I don't love you."
"You do?" She couldn't help but question it.
He nodded with a small smile creeping onto his lips,"never stopped."
Before she could respond, his lips came to hers. She felt the same charge that was always running through her when his lips came to hers. His hand meshed into her hair, the other cupped her face. Out of habit, her arms wrapped around his neck. It lasted a good minute...or maybe two, she wasn't counting. But it felt like it lasted forever, she certainly wanted it to. In need of oxygen, they broke apart.
After seeing her beautiful smile grow onto her face, he smiled.
"Sam, will go out with me? Again?" He whispered
She shrugged,"I guess."
They both smiled.
