A/N: So I had this idea whilst I was peeling spuds and listening to Bon Jovi. I hope you like it! :)
Lily was stood leaning against the door frame of the Heads dormitory. She was silently laughing to herself. James had been borrowing her music again to play on the magic gramophone.
He was currently using his broomstick as a guitar and pretending to strum along to 'Kansas, Carry On Wayward Son'. He was also trying to sing along to the words. He was walking around trying to rock out, like Lily had see artists do on episodes of 'Top Of The Pops'.
Lily could only stand with her hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter. He was being adorably cute, and Lily fell a little bit more in love.
The song finished, James jumped in the air and landed on his knees and power slid across the floor. Lily couldn't hold it in any longer and she burst out laughing. James looked round to verify who was laughing at him. Realising it was Lily he blushed furiously.
"Hahahahaha, oh James," was all Lily could say.
"Lils, how long have you been stood there?" asked a very flushed James.
But Lily couldn't answer, she was still laughing too hard.
"Merlin, I'm so embarrassed," groaned James through his fingers as he had his hands over his face.
"James, that was so adorable," grinned Lily.
"You won't tell anyone will you?" asked James anxiously.
"Never, this'll be our secret," said Lily reassuringly.
"Thank you!" exclaimed James.
He clambered to his feet in a rather gangly manner, and walked towards his girlfriend. He slipped his arms around her waist and kissed her on the mouth. Lily looked at her boyfriend who had a sheen of sweat on his brow.
"How many songs did you rock out too?" Lily grinned.
"A few," admitted James.
"This isn't the first time you've done this is it?" asked Lily a hint of laughter still in her voice.
"No," said James with a grin.
"Where might I ask did you learn that?" continued Lily with her questions.
"You know at Easter when I came home with you? Well one night me and your mum sat and watched a music television show while you were in the bath," replied James quietly.
"Oh, so you watched 'Top Of The Pops," grinned Lily.
"That's it!" cried James happily.
Lily just shook her head and grinned at her boyfriend.
"What?" asked James uncertainly.
"You're such an adorable prat Potter," replied Lily.
"Well thank you Evans," grinned James.
Lily wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer.
"But you're my adorable prat," Lily whispered.
"Love you too Lils."
Lily disengaged herself and put a different record on.
