Ianto and Jack sat on a roof, hands linked, legs hanging over the edge. Ianto was smiling as he kicked his legs.

Jack had charmed some poor security guard into letting him onto the roof. The higher the roof, the better.

It helped clear his head, Jack said.

Small flakes of white, fluffy snow were drifting down, catching in dark hair.

"Happy Christmas, Jack," Ianto said, giving Jack's hand a gentle squeeze. Jack returned the smile and squeezed Ianto's hand.

"I, uh," Ianto cleared his throat. "I got you something."

Jack gave the Harkness grin.

"Yeah?"

Both men reached into their pockets and pulled out small gifts.

Ianto's, of course, was neatly wrapped, and Jack's was hastily wrapped in a shopping bag. Ianto chuckled and swapped gifts.

"You first, Jack." Jack tore through the paper and opened the small white box. A smile spread across his face.

"A stop watch, eh?"

Ianto smiled.

"Bit of a joke."

Ianto un wrapped the shopping bag and opened it. Ianto bit his lip and nodded.

"Stop watch."

Both men held small, round silver stop watches.

"Plenty of things you can do with a stop watch." Ianto joked, slipping the silver watch into his pocket.

"We'll do that later," Ianto winked. "But now, just hold me and let's watch it snow."

And they did, the two men sat there and watched the snow fall onto Cardiff, blanketing everything.
