The Right Thing

OK, just to warn you, this is a Mimi & Sora fic.
Sora and Mimi have grown closer together over their years. Now, at their age of 21, they have been in love for a long time. Although it was weird at first they weren't the first pair to be in love with the same gender; Taichi and Yamato were also together.
There was one day in particular that really put the meaning of love to the test...
Sora and Mimi were waling in the mall. They had stopped to get a smoothie and sat down to drink it.
" Sora, I've been thinking. I want to carry this relationship farther. Sora, will you marry me?" And with that, Mimi produced a small, gray box. Inside, Sora saw a glittering Sapphire surrounded by two smaller diamonds. " I saved all of my modeling money for this Sora. Please say yes!"
Tears welled in Sora's eyes and she abruptly stood up. " I'm sorry Mimi, I..I just can't. I'm so sorry." Sora ran off and left Mimi to try and sort out what had just happened.
Flashback
Sora was standing at the alter. She had just walked down the alter and was now facing.. Matt and Joe. Tai was not there. Nobody could contact him or had any idea where he was. The flower girls, Kari and Yolei, were full of curiosity. Mimi, the bridesmaid, was completely speechless. After waiting for and hour, Sora ran off crying; she had been left at the alter by her beloved Taichi.
End Flashback
Tears blurred Sora's vision as she remembered being left at the alter two more times after that. She began crying harder as she realized that she was doing the same thing to Mimi. * It wasn't fair to either of them *, she decided. Sora dried her tears and walked out of her house to find her loving Mimi. And she knew just where to look... in their special spot in the digital world.
* A/N: Their special spot is a beautiful field with a towering waterfall behind it. It is very romantic if you can imagine it.. *

Mimi looked up as she heard someone coming towards her. She knew it was Sora because she was the only other person who knew about this spot. Mimi smiled as Sora ran up to her and threw her arms around her.
" Mimi, I am soo sorry and I have something to tell you." Mimi raised an eyebrow " I will marry you. I love you Mimi." Sora saw tears in her eyes but heard other sobbing from behind them. They whipped and saw Taichi holding a crying Yamato.
" I'm sorry, he's very emotional." Taichi explained. Everyone started laughing then started crying again.
A few weeks later found all the digidestined at Sora and Mimi's special spot. Now it was their wedding spot.
Sora was standing by the minister in a blue pantsuit waiting for Mimi to walk down the 'aisle'. Yolei and Davis walked down together and went their separate ways, then TK and Kari. The rest of the digidestined looked back and there stood Mimi. She was dressed in a pale butter yellow dress. It was tight at the top but at the bottom, it fluffed out into a bell shape. She walked up to Sora and stood facing her. The minister said his part then Sora spoke up.
" Mimi, you've made me understand the word love. Before you, I never truly understood it or anything about it. But you made me understand it and I will be always in your debt because of it." Tears sprung to Mimi's eyes. Sora kissed Mimi and ties the knot between them. Everyone began throwing rice and clapping and whistling. Sora and Mimi were finally married.
Mimi and Sora looked back on this often and cried a lot. But in Sora's mind, she knew that she had done the right thing.
