Gex: Loosely based on the video game

Chapter 1

I was born in Hollywood. My name is Gecko Extraordinare. But people call me Gex. Am I'm a TV addict.

Saturday, January 8, 1979.

The sun was just coming up. The sky was different shades of red, purple, orange, yellow, and pink. The grass was dewey and the highways of Hollywood were full of sounds of cars beeping. We lived in the first "O" in the Hollywood sign. My mother stared out the window at the sunrise as she waited for me and my siblings to hatch. Her hair was always pulled up in a ponytail each and every day. She was perfect weight, green and yellow and had beautiful eyelashes with purple eyelids. I was born with my my brother Gyle and sisters Gerty and Gale when the sun was fully up.

15 years later.

I think it was a day in November 1994 when a chunk of my life changed. This particular day, I was watching TV when Gerty came in and jerked the remote out of my hands and changed it to The Spy Who Loved Me 007.

"Hey! I was watching that!" I shouted.

"I hate it." said Gerty.

"Well, know what?" I asked. "I hate 007!"

"Gerty, would you just give it back to Gex?" asked Gyle.

"You're not my boss." said Gerty.

"GERTY, GIVE THE REMOTE BACK TO GEX!" mom yelled from the kitchen.

Gerty threw the remote into my chest.

"You owe us TV time AGAIN." said Gale and the two girls went to their rooms.

Mom then came in the living room.

"Gex, why don't you go to the store for cereal?" asked mom.

"Because this is a movie channel and it's only half-over." I said.

"You'd sit in front of that TV with your eyes glued to it if I'd just let you." said mom. "Go to the store before I get angry with you."

My god... She ALWAYS does this! Well... Off to K-Mart...
