Chapter 1
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon for Simon Seville as he walked into the kitchen to make a tuna sandwich when he heard trucks and shouting. He looked outside and saw a man about 45 with a beer in his hand and a plate in his other shouting at a teen about Simon's age. He was a blonde puppy furry (human with animal ears and tail). Simon started to walk away when he heard a glass break so he walked back seeing the puppy lying on the ground in pain and plate shards scattered around broken. The old man was walking away angry. The puppy looked up slightly and his and Simon's eyes connected and shared the pain slightly. Simon walked to the door to go help the pup, but when he got there the pup was gone.
Simon's room
As Simon lay in his bed and listened to the silence he thought about the puppy. He wandered what was up with the father abusing his son. It was quiet because Alvin and Theodor were not here Alvin was a professional football player in New Jersey and Theodor was a master chef in Hollywood, Dave was… Dave was dead; he died in a car crash 3 years ago. That's why the immortal Chipmunks broke apart.
He wanders what the puppy is doing right now. He was Simon's age so he must go to his school. That's it, his school, that's where he can find the pup, the school after all was a furry school (place for furry anikids).
Saturday
Simon was lying in bed wandering if he could see the pup again. He looked out of his window to see the puppy boy putting up blinds in the window. They're eyes met again. As they saw each other the pup left quickly. Simon stared in amazement at how fast the puppy boy put up the curtains and left. Simon slowly walked to his bed only to hear a knock on his door. As he went down stairs he heard whispering behind the door. Simon opened the door with the usual smile for visitors.
"Yes? How may I help you" he asked with his usual kindness. He was responded to with the pup-boy being shoved into him.
"Here, take this kid and show him his school I've got girls to attend to." The old man said drunkenly as he slowly staggered away.
As he left the pup said shyly "you don't have to I'll just stay in an extra room for a few hours then I'll leave." He averted Simon's eyes.
"If you insist, there's a room upstairs 2nd door to the left." Simon said with a hint of concern. "You do know where to go for school right?"
"Ya, Naples High School. A place for people like me." The pup said flatly.
"Ok as long as you know how to get there."
"Ya I do." He said with little concern.
The pup went to the room and locked it. Simon didn't care, he had the key. As Simon walked past, he heard crying. He walked up to the door loudly so the pup wouldn't be surprised.
"Is everything ok?" Simon asked.
"Ya I'm fine." He replied sniffling.
'So strange, his dads abusive and drunk, yet he doesn't all the cops and he won't talk to anybody' Simon thought to himself.
There was a knock on the door.
"Gimme my kid back now!" the dunk man said. The pup quickly opened the door and ran down the stairs opened the door and left.
Night in Simon's room
'I wander who he is. Why won't he look at me? Why won't he let me help?' Simon, once again lay in bed thinking again about the wolf pup. 'I guess I'll find out tomorrow if he's in any of my classes.'
