vanishing
Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts
A/N: Yeah, more sokai angst. I did give you a warning.
She was vanishing, bit by bit, breaking, shattering. On the outside she was the same, her blue eyes comparable to crystals, her red hair shining like the sun. But that too was losing its glory; her heart was breaking, day by day, and she wasn't sure if it would ever return.
Every day that she waited, another memory vanished, another piece of her heart shattered like so much glass, she became more empty. A shell of what she had been, broken pieces, bitter heart, no longer herself, shattered.
Her friends denied the vanishing. They said she would get over it; they even had the nerve to suggest that it hadn't happened, but she knew, deep in her heart somewhere, that it had happened, even if she didn't remember what had started the shattering.
She was waiting for something, something important, maybe somebody important. Every day it seemed as if she would fade, vanish into the nothingness, the emptiness that she was becoming would consume her.
Vanished
was her smile, her giggle; they faded in the absence of happiness.
The absence of...she tried and tried, but couldn't remember what was
missing. Had she always been this way? Always been broken, always
been shattered?
Something had shattered her heart, something had
started the vanishing. But her friends insist that nothing happened.
So she just waits for what she doesn't remember. She just breaks, unable to take the pain. She just vanishes, slowly, every day...
...will I ever be whole again?
A/N: Please review.
