A/N: Spoilers for season 7, no specific episode. Just a brotherly moment amidst a hunt between Dean & Sam. I know it's a couple weeks late, and I also know that being really busy and really sick isn't an excuse, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.
The kick was fierce enough to send him spiraling towards the wall farthest from his brother, arrogant enough to let his head smack unwillingly into its concrete surface.
Painful enough to make him cry out in agony before black crowded his vision mercilessly.
Then there was Sam's voice, screaming throughout the all-consuming darkness, footsteps thudding on the ground and strong arms lifting him up into a warm embrace.
It was real enough to give his eyes reason to open, reassuring Sam they would both go on another day, despite Lucifer there and Cas dead.
He would be fine, like always.
