A week after Jeanette started school, she found a purple rose in her locker. She had no idea who her giver was, but really, it was Simon. He wanted to secretly gesture that he had fallen in love with Jeanette at first sight, which the rose sweetly symbolized. Plus, it was also her favorite color.

On Jeanette's birthday, Simon had given her a couple of yellow roses. The brightly colored flowers represented their strong friendship for each other and a sensational feeling of joy, making it a perfect gift for the occasion.

On their first date, Simon handed Jeanette a bouquet of pink roses to show his love and appreciation for her. They were also a way to thank her for accepting to go out with him that evening.

On their first Valentine's Day together, Simon, of course, gave Jeanette a beautiful bunch of red roses. True, it may seem stereotypical that a guy would give his girl red roses as a gift for this certain holiday, but the same meaning lies behind it. They are a really special way to simply say "I Love You."

On her wedding day, Jeanette wore white roses in her hair to serve as a sign that the marriage between her and Simon was going to be a new chapter of their love. They also added a nice touch to her ensemble, making her look as pure and heavenly as ever.

On their first wedding anniversary, Simon gave Jeanette five roses, each a different color. One purple, one yellow, one pink, one red, and one white. Each rose expressed the most memorable and sacred moments in their relationship, and in a way, told a little story about their love so far.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed this story! I know it's a bit short, but I was inspired to write this from my interest of the meanings of different colors of roses. It's actually pretty cool, and you should check it out yourself! And, I also thought Simon would have some common knowledge on these things, which would make the concept even better.
